BUDGET ANALYST – Nicoya Construction, LLC has opening for Budget Analyst position at Boston, MA worksite. Duties include: Prepare budget reports, and provide budget management analyses and interpretations to aid company management in cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget estimates and preparation for company’s construction projects and overall operations; Manage and analyze company’s overall budget and financial data, budgeting and accounting reports, and operating budgets to maintain costs and expenditure controls, improve efficiency, increase profits, and analyze trends affecting budget needs; Provide budget estimates and budget management analysis for company’s present construction projects as well as future project bids and other projects; Prepare regular and special (daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly) financial documents, reports, and budget reports based on compilation and management of financial accounting data (invoices, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, assets and liabilities, expenses, and other data); Analyze
business and financial data (especially pertaining to inventory, equipment, transportation, suppliers, storage), identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, research more cost-efficient alternatives, and consult with managers to discuss business strategies and practices recommendations; Gather financial records and data, verify accuracy of financial information, and perform cost-benefit management analyses to scrutinize existing operating practices and procedures. Minimum requirements and credentials currently include: (1) Master’s degree in Management or Finance, or in any suitable field of study or combination of education substantially related to management or finance, or its equivalent; (2) Strong knowledge in business project management, including scope and risk assessment and cost and budget estimates; (3) Strong knowledge in budget operations management, including sales and cost analysis, financial reports preparation and analysis, purchase and supplier schedules, and human resources; (4) Proficiency in business and financial software, including Excel and Powerpoint. The above skills/technologies may be gained during academic studies. Salary is $80,683.00 per year. 40 hour work week (Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM). Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
